Let AI assistants build websites with JustCopy

JustCopy's MCP server lets an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol) build, change and publish a website for a person's business. The assistant describes the business; JustCopy writes the site with sign-in, saved data and photo uploads built in, and puts it online.

Connect

  1. Add the server https://justcopy.ai/mcp to your MCP client (in Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector; in Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http justcopy https://justcopy.ai/mcp).
  2. The client opens JustCopy's sign-in. The person signs in (or creates a free account) and allows access.
  3. Ask the assistant for a website. It calls create_site, then get_site until the site is ready, and shares the link.

Tools

ToolWhat it doesArgumentsReturns
list_sitesThe person's websites, newest first, with status and public link. Permission: See your websites.limit (optional, 1–50)sites: siteId, name, status, liveUrl, studioUrl
create_siteBuilds a new website or simple web app from a plain description. Returns at once; the build runs for one to three minutes. Permission: Build and change websites.description (the business and what the site should have)siteId, name, status "building", studioUrl
get_siteStatus of one site, its links, what the builder said and suggested next changes. Can wait for a running build. Permission: See your websites.siteId, waitSeconds (optional, up to 20)status (building, ready, live, needs_upgrade, failed), liveUrl, studioUrl, lastReply, suggestions, upgradeUrl
change_siteMakes a change the person asks for, in plain words. Paid plans; on the free plan get_site returns an upgrade link. Permission: Build and change websites.siteId, requestsiteId, status "building"
publish_sitePuts a built site online at a public link, free on every plan. Publishing again updates it. Permission: Publish websites.siteId, address (optional subdomain)liveUrl

Builds take one to three minutes, so create_site and change_site return straight away and get_site reports progress. No call holds a connection open for minutes, which keeps it working in every client.

Protocol

Streamable HTTP, stateless. The server answers both the 2026-07-28 revision and the initialize-era revisions (2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26), so older and newer clients connect to the same address. Tool results carry structured content matching each tool's output schema; error details travel in _meta.
